Crypto-linked stocks rebound on Oct. 20 as bitcoin edges up to about $82,500 and oil falls
Crypto-related stocks rose on Tuesday afternoon as a small gain in crypto prices combined with modest gains in U.S. equities, after the previous week's market-wide selloff had knocked many of them down 10% or more. Bitcoin rose about 0.7% over 24 hours to around $82,500. Stocks had turned higher earlier after a report of progress toward ending the war in Iran sent oil sharply lower, before a denial trimmed the move.
