No tracking
There are no analytics scripts, advertising trackers or tracking cookies on Finance Desk. We keep a server-side log of errors and requests to run the service and fix problems.
On your device
Your watchlist, your book (positions on /book), display settings and Desk panel width are stored in your browser's local storage and never sent to us. When you ask the Desk about your positions, they travel with that one question.
One cookie
When you ask the Desk a question we set one first-party cookie, fd_vid (a random id, 400 days), to count free questions per day and keep your conversation. It is not used for tracking or advertising. If you choose a non-default font theme, your browser loads that font from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address.
The Desk
Questions you ask the Desk, and its answers, are stored so answers can be shared by link and so we can improve them and enforce daily limits. They are sent to an AI model provider to produce the answer. Do not type personal or confidential information into the Desk.
Accounts and payments
There are no accounts or payments yet. When they arrive, sign-in will be handled by an authentication provider and payments by a payment provider, and this page will say what we receive.
