Mainframe and security software (CA, Symantec, Carbon Black)
Symantec CBX, a cloud-based XDR platform that combines Symantec and Carbon Black capabilities, was unveiled March 23, 2026. Broadcom reports this software inside the Infrastructure Software segment and does not give a separate revenue figure.
What it is
Enterprise software outside VMware: mainframe workload-automation and management products sold under the CA brand, and cybersecurity products from Symantec and Carbon Black, sold through Broadcom's partner-led Catalyst go-to-market. Why it matters to the stock. These products sit in the same reporting segment as VMware, so their performance is not visible on its own. They are a second source of recurring software revenue alongside VCF.
