What it is
A hard-drive design that adds a second set of independently operating actuators on a separate pivot, aiming for up to 2x sequential I/O in a 3.5-inch drive. Combined with High Bandwidth Drive technology, the company says it will reach 4x sequential I/O and support 100TB drives.↗ source
Why it matters to the stock. It is the mechanical part of the company's plan to reach 100TB drives. A later date means the capacity roadmap depends on it beyond 2027.
